Loving Yourself Through Daily Exercise

Taking care of yourself - mind, body, and soul should always be a top priority. In order for us to be and give our best in everything that we do, our mind, body, and soul should always be in sync and working together to keep us going from the time that we get up in the morning until we lay down to sleep at the end of the day - in preparation to do it all over again.

Eating well, getting an adequate amount of sleep, and exercising at least three to four times a week is paramount in keeping your mind, body, and soul healthy. While eating well, getting enough sleep, and hitting the gym is easy for most of us to do, there are a number of women who are not able to find the time to dedicate to a regular exercise routine. Many may start out going to the gym with the honest effort of making it a habit, only to find that by the second week, their excitement and commitment to exercising has been watered down by other daily responsibilities, not having the energy, or the drive to do it.

Exercising should be just as important to us as the air that we breathe. Why? Because without air what will happen? We will perish. Without daily exercise what can happen? Cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, stroke, depression, arthritis, high cholesterol, and certain types of cancer can develop. Knowing this, isn't it worth it to incorporate and stick to a regular exercise routine?

Part of loving yourself involves taking care of yourself. Making yourself and the wellbeing of your mind, body, and soul a top priority should always be on your to do list. Never make a to do list without putting yourself somewhere on it - preferably near the top three. And when it comes to the excuses that we sometimes give ourselves for not exercising, start replacing those excuses with reasons as to why you should. For example - I will feel better afterwards, I will have more energy, I will have clarity and will be able to focus, I'm doing this for me, or I'm doing this for my health. The reasons can go on, but as long as you give yourself a reason why you should exercise versus why you can't or shouldn't, you will come out winning in the end. Learn to push through the opposition and get to loving yourself through daily exercise.

If you need a little help to get started, make yourself a promise that you will start exercising at least three times a week. We all know how it feels when promises that others make to us are broken, so by making a promise to yourself, you will not only hold yourself accountable, but you will follow through because the last thing that you want to do is let yourself down. If you need more than making a promise to yourself, enlist someone who can check in with you daily to remind you or encourage you to exercise. In addition, I know that there will be days where you may not feel like going to the gym, but that still should not stop you from exercising. With exercise DVD's and apps that can be downloaded to our smartphones, working out in the comfort of your home is always an option. There should be no excuses - not one, if you are committed to your health.

Turn who you are into something more by loving yourself unconditionally through daily exercise. Your health will thank you for it and you will look and feel amazing!
